Statistical Image Analysis on Liquid-Liquid Mixing Uniformity of Micro-Scale Pipeline with Chaotic Structure

The aim of this work is to introduce a novel statistical technique for quantifying the concentration field uniformity liquid-liquid mixing process within micro-scale chaotic pipeline. For illustration, microscale mixer in which inlet direction parallel unit designed by using pipeline with Baker map. Meanwhile, non-uniformity coefficient method adopted quantificationally instead qualitatively estimating micromixer based on uniform design theory and image analysis. Results show that distribution under various working conditions obtained solving steady-state Navier–Stokes diffusion convection equations. average contribution ratio three basic units approximately 6:3:1, calculated aligned fluid flow successively. optimal can be as initial velocity 0.05 m/s 5 × 10−9 m2/s, respectively. reliability new parameters explained from dimensions. analysis illustrated reliable effective yielding accurate information simulated mixer. Furthermore, it adapted examine variety issues concentrations are evaluated distinct scales.
